S EXUALITY
Sexuality is the thoughts, feelings,
desires, attitudes, values,
behaviors, roles and relationships
you have surrounding sex.
Everyones sexuality is different.

HEALTHY SEXUAL RELATIONSHIPS

Sex should feel good. Talk to sexual partners about sexual acts that you
enjoy or that you dont like.

Not everyone has an orgasm and thats ok. Sex is not just about having an
orgasm. You can still enjoy sex and get pleasure from sexual acts, even if
you dont have an orgasm.

You should never feel forced or pressured into sexual acts. If you ever feel
uncomfortable or do not want to do something, you can speak up or stop.
Have conversations about safe sex. Make sure you and your sexual partners
have been tested for sexually transmitted infections and that you protect
yourself.

S EXUALLY T RANSMITTED D ISEASES (STD S )

What are STDs? STDs are diseases that are passed through sexual contact such as gonorrhea,
chlamydia, HIV, syphilis, genital warts, and herpes

Am I at risk? 50% of new STD infections occur in people aged 15-24

What are signs of an STD? Not all STDs have the same signs. Common signs include vaginal
discharge, burning and itching, and open sores. Remember some STDs may not have signs, so it
is important to get tested.

How do I protect myself?

1. Always use a condom with new partners or partners who have not been tested
2. Get tested for STIs every year

Where do I get tested? You can go to the student health center, the public health
department, your primary care provider, or Womens health provider.
