Module 1: Functions

Functions consist of domain, range, function, graphs, function notation,

equations, piecewise-defined function. So what a domain? A domain are the
first set of coordinates a ordered pair has in a function. A range consist of the
second set of coordinates the function has as an ordered pair. Now for the
Function, a functions are the first set off correspondence between the
domain and range. In which each part of the domain has to have a
corresponding member which may only be one or its not a function and it
has to be in the range.
A graph is a diagram of the information that has been acquired by
some type of problem solving. It usually involves a set of points making a
certain type of line, curve or a solution of a equation or inequality. Function
notation is useful to indicate the corresponding out put for the corresponding
input. An equations is a thing we have seen since we started school. Its a
sentence formed by numbers which has an equal sign between the two
expressions.
A piecewise-defined function is a function that may have different
equations define for different parts of the domain. And at last what is the
purpose of a function? How we write functions in algebra? And how do we
apply it in the real world? Well the purpose of a function is to transform
numbers into other numbers (solutions) using a set of equations like

F(x)=

2x+3 or variables like (X,Y). In the real world we use functions when it comes
to how many people are in a class, or a price of an article at the store, to a

barcode anywhere, with real numbers or corresponds, or simply with a date

of birth.
