1) Greetings, Overview of weekends. (3-5 mins).
2) Attendance (5-8 mins).

Students will be given fifteen quiet reading minutes either at the beginning or end of class depending on how their weekend readings went. After which, the class will have a brief overview of chapters 1-9. Students will break off into small groups and develop a character map for Duddy Kravitz, as well as, MacPhereson. Students will also complete a list of Vocabulary presented to them via Smartboard, to complete in their small groups. A- Silent reading. (15-20 mins) B- Overview of important events in chapters 1-9. (10-15 mins) C- Develop character list of the novel as a class. (10 mins) D- Break off into small groups and complete a character map for Duddy and MacPhereson in small groups.(10 mins-remainder of class) E- Work on Vocabulary in small groups. 4) Review of work done today (2mins)
