Supervised the asynchronous online consulting process, assigning email requests received from

students to a team of online consultants for review.


Developed the Writing Centers synchronous consulting procedure using Google Plus Hangouts.
Assisted in developing schedules for the Writing Centers daily operations, presentations for staff

development, and in maintaining the day-to-day operations of the Writing Center.


Presented Writing Center orientations for new students and students in writing-intensive classes.

Aided students with making Writing Center appointments and by answering basic writing-related

Reviewed student submissions to the literary magazines and scored them for eventual
acceptance/rejection to the Fall 2015 issue.

June 2014-May 2015: Teaching Consultant, MayaWest Writing Project, Mayaguez, Puerto Rico

Completed a two week intensive workshop on writing and teaching, hosted by the

MayaWest Writing Project.


Collaborated with teaching assistants and area teachers to better our teaching practices.
After the completion of the workshop, continued participation in monthly Writing Project
activities such as teaching workshops, demonstrations, and lectures.

June 2010-December 2013: Karate Instructor, Robert Bowles Karate Academy, Fort Wayne, IN

Earned the rank of Black Belt in Okinawan Shuri-Ryu karate in December of 2012.
Instructed weekly karate classes (both basic and advanced) for children of all ages.
Adapted a loose lesson plan to best benefit children of wide-ranging ages in order to best serve
their learning styles and needs while keeping the lessons interesting.

August 2012-December 2012: Vice President, IPFW Chinese Club

Organized events for the students of IPFW as well as the community.

Worked with the other club officers to organize and hold a book drive to raise funds.
