October 2015
Well, now that summer is over we can look forward to seeing everyone
at the Lodge for some fun and participation in some of our up and coming
planned events. I do hope everyone enjoyed their vacation.
I would like to get back in asking all of our Elk members in good standing
if they would like to sponsor a new bar stool, the new bar stools are really nice
and heavy duty. They will replace our old and worn out ones. How this will work
is the first 40 members who sponsor a stool at a cost of $150.00 dollars will have
a plate on the back of that stool. It would say ( in memory of or dedicated to ) or
what ever you would like it to say. But remember you don't own the stool, you
only sponsored it.
It takes all of us to keep the Lodge going and once in a great while even
our Lodge needs a face lift now and then. The purchase of the new stools will
bring new appearance for everyone to enjoy. If you would like to sponsor a stool
please call the Lodge and talk to our House Committee so we can order your
Sponsor Stool plates.
This will improve the Lodge tremendously. Thank you for all your help.
We are considering selling bricks in the Antler room as a dedication to any of our
members and their family or friends. We will have more on this to come in my
next bulletin.
Our Lodge is doing great. We just had a successful crab feast. Thanks
to everyone and the hard work by Ron and his crew. Their are many planned
events listed in the bulletin that I know you all would enjoy. Please pick one of
them and come and see the great time and the fun that you can have and the
many laughs. As always, please feel free to invite a friend or a co worker or a
family member to join our lodge. I would like to take this opportunity to thank all of the
generous people who anonymously sent in donations that we have received in
these past few months in case you're not aware of. We have 3 TVs, 2 new bar
stools, a stereo and many other gifts that have been donated by our good friends
and generous Members of the Lodge. To everyone who has donated I would like
to say, Thank You, Thank You .
Let's always remember our Veterans and anyone in need. Also, it's
going to be that time again for our Holiday baskets for the needy. Canned goods
or dry items can be dropped off in the Antler Room. Please remember we are a
Lodge that helps and contributes to all that are in need of our help. I thank you
for your kind and generosity.
God Bless Our Great Lodge.
Fraternally, Michael Greaver
