Constitutional Law 1
Assignment

What are your expectations of the class and the professor?

For the class, I expect a lot of cases to be digested. And digesting is

considered one of the tenets of learning in law school. As a freshman, I am quite
optimistic and excited about the new things I can learn from the cases and hopefully
I can benefit from it. I also expect teamwork, not in objective tests or oral recitation
but in digesting the numerous cases we will encounter as we sift through
Constitutional Law I. I believe this is the way to fit all the case realizations I can
muster, into my head. This class will surely improve camaraderie among our
classmates as we distribute the cases among ourselves. I expect many questions,
clarifications from digesting the mind-boggling cases. Lastly, I want to say that I
expect that most of my sleepless nights for this semester will probably be caused by
this subject. But in the end, I know it's going to be worth it.
From the professor, I expect passion and love of the subject in such a way
that it is contagious enough that I, as a student, can have the same feel for the
course. Thru that I will have enthusiasm and will to master this tedious subject. I am
also definitely expecting the brilliance of the teacher in this field of law and it would
really be beneficial if the teacher can relate the subject with the current issues
faced by our nation. Foremost, I want the teacher to bring out the best in me, to
help me find the courage to speak out, to give me the desire to do the required
work, and to show me that by completing the program I will achieve my goals.
Quite honestly, I am coming into this subject empty-handed, zero, nada. I
expect that after this semester, I'll come out having a lot to cherish as I move on in
my journey here in Law School.
