7.5.2 Demonstration by faculty on OTDR supplemented by multimedia.


7.5.3 Identify the different events on OTDR as given below:

Safety Precautions
Switch the OTDR off before you start to clean its connectors! Or at least
disable the laser.
Invisible laser radiation! do not stare into beam or view directly with optical
instruments.
Do Not Operate in an Explosive Atmosphere
Do Not Remove Covers
Note: Participants must be taken to field whenever actual fault restoration work is
carried out in field
