Mom answer
It reminds me of camp. I can actually
remember dancing to the Gogos in one
of the cabins on the senior end where
we werent supposed to be, but it was a
special day so they had music in the
cabins. We were all dancing around to
the Go Go's we got the beat. Whenever I
hear Police or Depeche Mode it reminds
me of my camp friends and different
things we did at camp.

I dont have a specific artist or group, but like my
mom there are certain songs that remind me of
camp because they were either a lip sync or just
a song that we would all sing together.

Mom answer
I was kind of stuck with what my
parents listened to in the car, but I
think when I was about 12 or 13 I
listened more to my own music.I
also have 2 older brothers who
really shaped what I listened to
when I was younger.
My answer
I think when I was about 9 or 10 I started
listening to my own music. My sister also
helped shape the music I listened to.

Mom answer
Music is now downloadable on your phone.
In the car I listen to the radio, but I can also
turn on my bluetooth and listen to my
songs. I just think that its different
because it used to only be on the radio or
you tape things, but now you can
download or stream music.
My answer
Music has always been the same for me.
You listen to it on the radio or you can
download or stream things from the
internet.

My music taste
I usually listen to what is on the radio. One of my
favorite songs is Hello by Adele. This song relates to
me because sometimes I feel like no one is listening to
me or people wont accept my apologies for
something. In the song Adele sings I must have called
a thousand times to tell you Im sorry for everything
that ive done, but when I call you never seem to be
home. This shows her trying to apologize, but the
person is ignoring her.

Reflection
My sister is the one who influenced the music I like. She
would usually choose what was on in the car, and that is
how I started liking pop music. The way we listened to music
has really changed. People used to play records, but now
we just download music and play it whenever we want. Also,
the styles people listened to have changed. Many people
used to listen to blues or rock music, but now most people
listen to pop because that is what is played most.

About the person I interviewed

For my interview I interviewed my mom. Just like me, my
mom was the youngest, so she just went with whatever her
brothers listened to. When my mom was a kid her family
listened to music mostly on the radio. Now that technology
has evolved she likes that she can listen to music wherever
she is, like walking the dog, or in the car. She also feels that
she has more freedom in choosing what music she wants to
listen too because she can search or download whatever
song or style she wants to listen to.
