Knowledgeable Base
There are a lot of individuals that have contributed to my goal of being
involved in the education career.

Both my English teachers in Middle and High school have shown me

how to be an effective teacher, knowledgeable in their field, but caring
as well in the lives of their students.

My History teacher, Mr. Powers, has definitely provided me with great

insight to effective teaching strategies and that you can get so close to
your students and make learning so incredibly fun, despite what is
being learned. He has given me a great example on how to be the
comfortable authoritative individual around you learner.

My boss at the day care I worked at, who I thought was too distant at
times and maybe not as strong in creating consequences. I have now
learned to respect her in how she does things. Being able to balance
personal vs working relationships. I often found her not as harsh as I
thought she should be. She has modeled how to be very democratic in
employer to employee relationship in an educational setting.

An my parent foremost. For giving me a diverse education career,

having moved to different places and continents in my life time, which
shaped me to have a diverse and culturally agile perspective on life.
And, for choosing the career for me, when I didnt think I should
actually go into it.

And Barbara Lubic, for modeling patience, acceptance, a fun working

environment, and yet still genuine and serious.
