Granted a GTA scholarship from the University of Kansas, Lawrence in 2015 to pursue
my PhD in English Literature.
Awarded a certificate of gratitude from the Dean of the Faculty of Foreign Languages
for the efforts rendered in the performance of Bernard Shaws Arms and the Man on
the occasion of the Third Scientific Day of the Faculty, April 14th, 2011.
Granted a teaching assistantship from the University of Jordan in 9002 which covered
the tuition of my Masters degree in English Literature.

Conferences and Publications:

Participated in Power to Connect in a Changing World: International Conference


on Language, Literature and Translation, which was held in the University of
Jordan, Amman, on 22nd to 25th April 2014. The paper I submitted is entitled
"Introduction to Jail Literature and Theory," which is part of my MA thesis.

Participated in The 5th AASRC international conference Information Systems


and Technology Management for Innovation and Regional Development
ISTMID2013, which took place in Amman, Jordan, on March 27th and 28th, 2013.
The article published is part of MA thesis, and it is entitled Political Jail in the Novels
of Orwell's Nineteen Eighty-Four, al-Ghtn's Zayn Barakt, Munfs East of the
Mediterranean and Coetzee's Waiting for the Barbarians: A Comparative Study. It is
published in The American Academic & Scholarly Research Journal, Special Issue.

Vol. 5, no. 3 (April 2013): 20-31.

Participated in the Charles Dickens Literary London Symposium (in the session of
the 200th Anniversary of Charles Dickens Birth (1812) that was held at the
Oxford/Cambridge Club, London during the dates of December 15 December 17,
2012). My paper is entitled "The Function of Animal Imagery in Hardy's Jude the
Obscure".

Attended the European Languages and Linguistics Symposium organized by the


Faculty of Foreign Languages at the University of Jordan and the EUNIC, Oct 2, 2011.

Community Service:
