Reflection- This peer reviewed journal article is very useful for my thesis paper.

I am
using some direct quotes about the childhood traumas and environmental factors that
these serial killers went through. From this article, I now have two more serial killers to
research more in depth about.

Paths to Destruction: The Lives and Crimes of Two Serial Killers is a peer
reviewed journal article written by Dr. Barbra Wolf and Dr. Wendy Lavezzi. Dr. Barbra
Wolf is a recognized doctor, scientist and detective in her job as a forensic pathologist.
Dr. Wendy Lavezzi is a deputy chief medical examiner in Leesburg, Florida. She is also a
expert in forensic pathology who has given lectures and seminars at the United States and
Canadian Academy of Pathology. This article has two cases of serial killers, and their
paths to destruction. The first case is of Gary Evan, who was born on October 7, 1954 in
Troy, NY. As is the case with many budding criminals, his childhood was less than
perfect. Both of his parents were alcoholics and he was physically and emotionally
abused (Lavezzi). This abuse and neglect later led him to begin to kill at the young age
of thirteen, Evans was something of a daredevil as a youth and was known to kill
neighborhood cats (Lavezzi).
This is going to be a very good article to use because the two cases back up my
case for how a serial killer is nurtured into the horrible monster they become. The article
has led me into more discoveries of two serial killers I have never heard about. Every
student who wants to learn about the paths to destruction should read this article. Its very
useful. The read is very easy to understand and straightforward.
