    Cardiac MRI (CMR) offers several advantages over other cardiac imaging modalities including no restrictions on imaging planes, the ability to assess multiple aspects of cardiac structure and function in a single study, and high spatial and temporal resolution without the use of ionizing radiation. CMR can be used to assess ventricular size and function, myocardial mass, atrial size, valve morphology, flow, myocardial infarction, perfusion, infiltration and fibrosis, and perform angiography and tissue characterization. However, limitations of CMR include potential issues with claustrophobia, magnetic fields and implanted devices, risks associated with gadolinium contrast agents and renal impairment, and nephrogenic systemic fibrosis.

    CMR offers several advantages over other cardiac
