Dear Peggy Davidson:

I am applying for the Field Information Specialist Internship. I am very
interested in this job and hope you can take a look at my resume.
I feel I would be a great candidate for this internship because I love to work
outside and love to work with plants. For my last job I was an Irrigation
Manager for Jack Verbree Jr. Dairies where I would oversee 27 pivots covering
750 acres of farm ground. Where I would work night and day to make sure
our crops had water and were growing proficiently. The crops were mainly
corn and alfalfa. I have a real passion for plants and am willing to learn more
and more about different plant species. I am majoring in Sustainable Crop
and Landscape Systems emphasizing in Soils and Land Resources and I
believe that this internship will make me grow as a soil scientist. Even
though I do not have much experience in water sampling, soil sampling,
scouting insects, gathering plant tissues, or the use of Agri. Intelligence and
record organization program. I will work hard and be proficient in all of these
categories because I am a hard worker and will not stop till the job is done. I
have learned a lot through my classes for soils, water measurement, GIS,
GPS, and entomology that will help me with my role and responsibilities for
this internship. I feel like I would be a great candidate for this internship and
will benefit greatly from this experience.
I hope that you will consider my application and resume that are attached. I
look forward to hearing from you and hope to be able to contribute to this job
for J.C. Watson Company.
Sincerely,

Jordan Verbree
