Definition: Sexual Harassment
Includes any one or more of the following (earlier RBE 148/98) unwelcome acts or behaviour (directly or by implication) namely:
a) Physical contact or advances
b) A demand or request for sexual
favours c) Making sexually coloured remarks d) Showing pornography e) Any other unwelcome physical, verbal or non-verbal conduct of sexual nature
Prevention of Sexual Harassment
No woman shall be subjected to sexual harassment at any workplace Circumstances occurring/present in relation to or connected with any act / behaviour of sexual harassment may amount to sexual harassment: Implied or explicit promise of preferential treatment in her employment Implied or explicit threat of detrimental treatment in her employment; threat about present/future employment status Interference with her work or creating intimidating/ offensive /hostile environment
