Boys & Girls Club
I have decided to volunteer at the Boys & Girls club since I
went to their program when I was a kid in Elementary. I would stay
after school only for an hour until my mom got off work and came to
pick me and my sister up at our old elementary. I had the best times
there and I had the opportunity to meet some awesome people that
I still talk to today. Therefore it was only fair to go back and offer
my writing services to them.
The Boys & Girls club was founded in 1860 in Hartford,
Connecticut. In 1906, 53 independent Boys' Clubs came together in
Boston to form a national organization, the Federated Boys' Clubs.
In 1931, the organization renamed itself Boys' Clubs of America, and
in 1990, to Boys & Girls Clubs of America. That is how they came to
be. They have played a tremendous role in keeping kids off the
streets and having them stay safe and drug-free.
The Boys & Girls Club and services promote and enhance the
development of boys and girls of all ages by instilling a sense of
competence, usefulness, belonging, belonging, and influence. The
Boys & Girls club provides kids a safe place to learn and grow all
day while having fun at the same time. It is the place where great
futures are started each and every day.
The Boys and Girls Club focuses on the character development
of children and younger adolescents. It has been their cornerstone
since the first Club that opened in 1860. The first Club professional,
John Collins, created a system of informal guidance to attract boys

into the club. They wanted to capture their interest, improve their
behavior, and increase their personal expectations and goals.
The Boys & Girls Club has twelve different locations in Utah
and many more nationwide. They plan on expanding and getting the
program to areas where there are not after school programs. They
have helped many kids with behavior and their progression in
school. They are a great program and they have created many other
programs to help support with after school programs.
