lines, animations, or interactive elements on Web

an understanding of the text in which it appears.

Learning
Objectives

I want the students to understand that the food chain

is very important in our world today. If one animal or
plant goes extinct it throw the whole food chain out of
balance. I also want the students to learn who is at the
top of the food chain and who is at the bottom, that
way they have a better understanding.

Technology Uses

The students will be using a computer and the

program called Kidspiration to complete their project.

Bag with pictures inside

1. Introduce the food chain through a BrainPop

video
2. Present my PowerPoint going over what the
animal food chain is and how it affects humans.
3. Show the students examples of the food chain
with different types of plants and animals.
4. At the end of the PowerPoint show the students
what they will be creating using Kidspiration.

5. I would show an example of how to create one

using the program.
6. Before we go to the computer lab I would first
let the students plan out what types of plants
and animals they are going to be using by
giving them precut out plants and animals
pictures in a bag, but I would let them figure out
the order.
7. The second day we will be going to the
computer lab so they can work on their
Kidspiration and ask questions if they need any
help
8. When they are done they will print it out and
turn it in.
Assessment

I would grade the students based on their Kidspiration

project.
Making sure it is accurate and in the correct order,
also the use of graphics and the creativity they
included in their food chain.
