SANDY HOOK ELEMENTARY SCHOOL 12 DICKERSON DR. SANDY HOOK CT 06482 Dear Students / Teachers / Employees: I hope you know that throughout the world we are all pulling for you and wishing you continued strength. As we watch and learn about you and your community, we are SO PROUD of your many acts of kindness and courage, and putting-others-first during these difficult times. Today, I learned on the Internet that your community has been home to several accomplished people through the years: Bruce Jenner, the Olympic athlete; Anthony Edwards, the actor; and the author Suzanne Collins . . . to name just a few. After the events of Friday, December 14th, what is most notable about your village is NOT the bad thing that happened. Rather, what is most notable about Sandy Hook is its kind and caring people. Your kind and good acts, and dignity, are known throughout the world today, and you are being recalled everywhere with admiration. [I am going out to mail my letter at the post-office now. But, during my walk there, and as I send this letter, I will give thanks for your continued strength and wisdom. I look forward to hearing many wonderful things about the good and kind people of the village of Sandy Hook in the years to come]!
