Dear Ms. Markley,
After researching the history of Huntington Hospital, I find it amazing that for 120 years
the Hospital has been a part of the San Gabriel Valley Community. I would love to become a
part of the Huntington Hospital Community, too. I would appreciate the opportunity to apply for
the position of Respiratory Therapist.
The reasons why I'm appropriate for this position is that I use critical thinking skills for
solving problems, I have patience, I am empathetic , I have the ability to work independently,
and the ability to work with a team. I am an Eagle Scout, the highest rank in Boy Scouts that
only a few can reach. I am a Certified Lifeguard, and I am Certified in First Aid, CPR , the usage
of AED, and Im familiar with bloodborne pathogens. Also, while in high school and college I
worked at Waterworks Aquatics and Rose Bowl Aquatics in Pasadena. My experiences include
rescuing victims, maintaining clean and safe pool decks, and opening and closing down the pool
areas. I served as Head Lifeguard at Waterworks Aquatics, and Assistant Head Lifeguard for
Rose Bowl Aquatics, and a specialist in the medical field at both work areas. Each opportunity
gave me the experiences I need to operate calmly in stressful conditions/situations. I was an
assistant nurse in my Boy Scouts Troop, and at my high school on field trips/outings.
If you give me this position as a Respiratory Therapist, I will seriously take the the responsibility
of getting patients the help they need in a professional manner.
