Lesson/Grammatical focus of the lesson: Present tense, likes/dislikes, comparisons
Day: 5th day of unit (1st unit of semester). 70 minutes
Standards addressed: 1.1, 1.2, 1.3, 4.2
OBJECTIVES:
(At the end of this lesson) students will be able to:

Describe what social networks they use and and which ones they
like/dislike
Compare social networks and how much time they spend on social
networks in general
How will I know that students can do that? Assessment (formal or informal) [this is similar
to the by column on the lesson plan I showed earlier]:
-
Students will write a short paragraph on what their favorite social network is and why
(comparing it to another social network).
Students will converse in groups about the social networks they use and the ones
they like/dislike.
Students will discuss and present in their groups what social network each person
uses the most and how much time each person spends on their social network.

Limitations: almost no target culture. But we will go into more culture-related things in
the next lesson when we go more in depth on the social network presentations since they
will be social networks that are popular in Francophone countries.
