11, 2001. Eric was a first responder rescue specialist from FDNY Special Operations Command Squad 18 in the West Village, Manhattan who died along with seven other of his brother Firefighters from Squad 18 that day in the stairwells. He had an apartment in the house, spent a lot of time here and loved Rockaway and was excitedly looking forward to living full time in the house when he retired from the FDNY.
