December 8, 2015 -Springfield, MA- Hampden Superior Court Judge Richard J. Carey found
Pedro Gonzalez, 59, of Springfield guilty on three felony counts of driving under the influence of
alcohol and causing serious injury, Hampden District Attorney Anthony D. Gulluni stated.
Gonzalez was arrested November 3, 2014 after injuring three teens in a cross walk at the

children suffered serious injuries including one child being in critical condition for days after the
accident.
District Attorney Anthony D. Gulluni stated, I would like to thank the Springfield Police

which enabled Assistant District Attorney Melissa Doran to present and argue a strong and
comprehensive case on behalf of the victims.
The jury waived trial lasted two days. Mr. Gonzalez is due back in court on December 14, 2015
at 9:00 a.m. for sentencing.
