I had worked with PBL before but never with such an

emphasis on technology. Most of my previous
projects were just including research as the tech
integration. Through this project, I learned to create
projects that developed around tech. The project
would be completely different if executed in an
alternate way. This project really helped me see the
benefits of tech and the creation from a student's
perspective.

Redefinition

Collaboration

I saw most technolgoy in a classroom as a

way to present information. What I loved
about the discussion board was the ability
to collect many means to have my students
collaborate within technology. Our school is
being a Google for Education school which
will allow great access for shared
documents in a controlled setting. I also
learned of the brainstorm and inquiry tools
such as iBrainstorm and different listservs
that may benefit in a classroom.

What I love about the discussion boards is

that I have a running log of great resources
and sites to use for each idea. I have kept my
own document that I refer back to as I
continue to plan for the year's lessons to
continue to strive for my goal of
"augmentation" and "modification" in my
technology integration.

Future

My discussion post on equity & access forced me to look at my own classroom

and evaluate how it was being used. I realized that I have some students who
have a misconnection between their reading, thinking, writing, and speaking. By
research different tools to use, I found myself re-evaluating my tactics and how
technology could play a role in smoothing those connections. I also found
myself evaluating how I handle comments from other students' based on
accomadations I make with students who need help.
