On Thursday, December 17, 2015 at approx. 10:55 PM, Jackson Police Officers responded to
EDO Japanese Sushi and Steak located at 5834 Ridgewood Rd. regarding a panic alarm. Officers
arrived on scene and learned the business had been robbed by three suspects armed with
handguns and dressed in dark colored clothing. The suspect took an undisclosed amount of
money from the business and they robbed four restaurant employees for their personal
belongings before fleeing the scene to an undisclosed location.
On Friday, December 18, 2015 at approx. 4:00 AM the Jackson/Hinds SWAT team in
conjunction with Robbery/Homicide Detectives conducted a special operation at Elton Park
Apartments located at 320 Elton Rd. During the course of this operation, Christopher Delaney
and Montreal Gibson were detained. They were later identified and charged with Armed
Robbery of a Business and four counts of Armed Robbery of an Individual in connection with
this incident.
These incidents, along with other similar incidents are still under investigation. More arrests
and/or charges are possible.
