To Whom It May Concern:

I support the teaching of Dr. Genna Reeves-DeArmond. I had Dr. Reeves-DeArmond as a
professor during the fall 2015 semester for the History of Apparel course at Kansas State
University. History of Apparel was a hybrid course where we communicated with Dr. ReevesDeArmond via webcam.
From my learning experience with her, I can honestly say that I find her to be a very passionate
individual when it comes to fashion history. Although I found the hybrid aspect of the course
to be challenging at times, I felt as though Dr. Reeves-DeArmond put in extra time to take care
of the communication issues and make the learning experience as positive as possible. She
responded to emails in a timely manner and was patient and understanding if there were any
technical problems.
She encouraged her students to learn more about the history of apparel outside of class and
challenged us to pay attention to detail within garments. We were asked to memorize specifics
when it came to style tribes, time periods, and fashion phases within each style period. I found
her to be polite in asking for constant feedback in order to improve her teaching and satisfy
student needs throughout the semester. I think she could benefit other students too.

Genuinely,
