Abstract
In this paper I will examine the ways in which the theme of local administration and
peoples justice is constituted in the textbooks of the Political Committee of National
Liberation (PEEA), 1944, so as to note down the representations, interpretations and
demands of the occupation period regarding the organization of social and political
order. For this purpose, I will use the methodology of discourse analysis to identify
the ideological function of discourse related to the key signifiers of local
administration and peoples justice. Thus, the paper will demonstrate the mechanisms
through which the textual strategies of textbooks constitute and signify the specific

representations of the social objectivity, displaying at the same time certain subject
positions.
