Changing Places
Changing Places
Hal works at the zoo every day and his life isn't exciting. Sometimes at night he
has a wonderful dream. He is famous and he has an exciting life, but when he
gets up, he is Hal again. He feels nervous, in two days, he must marry with his
girlfriend.
Tim is a movie star. He does not have a normal life and he is unhappy. He is
tired that people recognize on the street and sign autographs all day.
One morning, Tim is filming a movie action in Hal's zoo. He sees Hal and they
realize they are almost twins. Tim has an interesting idea: Changing places with
somebody can be a lot of fun.
Hal thinks about this. He says, "All right! I am going to be Tim and you going to
be Hal.”
Everybody is looking at Hal now. At first he feels nervous. Soon, he is having
fun. He likes being a movie star. This is an exciting life, Hal thinks.
Tim is happy, too. Tim loves Hal’s job because nobody recognizes him. Hi lives
a normal life.
All goes well until the day before Hal’s wedding. Tim waits Hal, for change their
lives, but Hal does not appear. He calls Hal, but there’s no answer. Tim goes to
his house, but the police see him. He hides from her. There’s nothing he can do.
In 24 hours, he must marry Hal’s girlfriend.
Meanwhile, Hal escapes the shooting of the film in the desert, with the jeep. He
has no map and he is lost. Some farm workers found Hal. They take him in their
truck at the wedding.
Hal comes just at the moment that begins the wedding. Sophie faints when she
sees Tim and Hal in front of her. When she opens her eyes again, Hal and Tim
tell her everything.
So, in the end, Sophie marries Hal, and Tim is a guest at the wedding.
I have enjoyed reading the book because the story is fun and entertaining, but it
is quite difficult to understand the vocabulary. Make the summary has been too
very difficult.
