INTRODUCTION

Through the Building Construction Technology module we are gaining a vast knowledge on
different types of building construction methods use in construction industry. In addition to
our day today lecture series we are assigned to do certain project works in relation to the
module.
In this project work, I have carried out a literature survey about Building construction
methods which is widely used for building construction & this project work is basically
focused on construction methods & how it is applicable to construction industry.
This assignment is for Building Construction Technology subject for the first semester in
BTEC HND in Quantity Surveying. This subject is most important for Quantity surveys.
Because they are must know about the building construction methods and applications to
decide the cost. When a quantity surveyor make bills of quantities this will helpful for them.
This assignment has covered the following learning outcomes according to the one site
information which was located at Pelawatta (Link engineering Pvt. Ltd).

This is an individual assignment and I have completed this assignment by gathering

information from the site, lecture notes, referring books and browsing internet. I hope this
assignment will provide the necessary information in BUILDING CONSTRUCTION
TECHNOLOGY, and for those who read this assignment gain some knowledge about this
subject.
