GULF COUNTY ISSUES LOCAL STATE OF EMERGENCY
At their emergency meeting scheduled on Wednesday, December 30, 2015 at 8:00am ET, the Gulf County
Board of County Commissioners declared a Local State of Emergency for the December 2015 Flood.
The Gulf County Emergency Management Office is recommending voluntary evacuation for person in
low lying areas and/or those who feel threatened by rising waters.
Sandbags are currently available at the locations below:
Howard Creek Fire Station
7132 Doc Whitfield Rd.
City of Wewahitchka Public Works
318 S 7th St., Wewahitchka
Current road closure information is included below:

The Gulf County Emergency Operations Center is currently activated to a Level 2 status, from 7:00 am to
7:00pm EST.
