The chassis has to support all other subsystems and also keep the driver safe.

The chassis is designed to withstand impacts created in a typical crash. A rear

roll hoop was added to provide support and protect the shoulder of the driver in
case of a crash. The front impact structure prevents damages that a front
impact might cause. The most important aspect of the chassis design is its
torsional rigidity which improves the cornering stability. The design increases
stiffness which makes the car more responsive to driver feedback. A rigid chassis
allows the suspension to function effectively. Weight of the chassis was minimized
for improved handling and overall performance. The high stiffness to weight ratio
indicates that the chassis will perform well. The design is ergonomic, providing
comfortable seating space for the driver. Optimal positioning of the seat and pedals
ensure a comfortable driving experience and allow the driver to apply adequate
forces on the pedals.
