LAMBERTI 2010 CALENDAR: US ROUTE 66

Lancia Aurelia B24 Spider is considered one of the most glamorous cars ever
built in the world. A legendary car with a legendary history: a number of brand new
Spiders is said to have been lost on the ill-fated ocean liner Andrea Doria on July
25 1956, although there is no evidence of this fact. A B24 Spider "convertible"
became popular playing a leading role in Dino Risi's "II sorpasso" (Italian movie
dated 1962, when the B24 was already out of production). The B24 was produced
just in 1955 in 240 units. Each car was assembled piece by piece in Pininfarina
factory, often customized on demand: thus building the magic of a myth.
The ideal location for a B24 Spider is a symbol of the American myth: U.S. Route
66, the famous highway originally running from Chicago to Los Angeles - about
4000 km -, a synonym for freedom, adventure and happiness 'on the move'.
