As you know, we are quickly approaching the date of February 1st, which is when the grade 4 and 5s will be combined to make a split class with Mme. Ho as a homeroom teacher. When this switch occurs, the intensive French will continue but only 300 minutes a week and the students will begin the other subject areas. We will be working closely together to ensure the transition is as smooth as possible. French: In January, we will begin working on narrative texts in French and start talking about the clothing we wear in different seasons as well as review all the material we have covered thus far. Math: In January, we will be working on 2 by 1 digit multiplication, we will start using fractions, continue working with double bar graphs, use algebra to solve problems involving multiplication and review our division strategies.
