ACCESS FITTING ASSEMBLY SERVICE TOOLS

COSASCO TwoInch System Access Fittings are

manufactured to the highest standards and will last for

decades with proper maintenance and service. RCS has a

range of tools made specifically for servicing all TwoInch
SystemAccessFittings.Thesetoolsareeasytooperateand
are compatible with all Cosasco TwoInch System
RetrieversandServiceValves.

1.COSASCOReFacerTool
TheReFacerToolallowstheusertorefacethesealingfaceofan
Access Fitting to remove any anomalies and restores the sealing
surface. This repairs the Access Fitting sealing face to an as new
condition without the need of completely replacing the Access
Fitting.SeeBulletinNo.661forfurtherdetails.

2.SurgeTubeAssembly3600PSI(24.8MPa)
TheSurgeTubeAssemblyisusedforflushingsand,chipsandother
debrisoutoftheAccessFitting.Itisespeciallyusefulforbottom
oftheline fittings where debris, etc. tends to collect. The Surge
Tube Assembly is attached to the Service Valve. By opening the
ServiceValvequicklythelinepressureisusedtoforcethedebris
outoftheAccessFittingandintotheSurgeTube.Onceyouclose
the service valve, you bleed the pressure off the Surge Tube and
remove.

3.AccessFittingBodySeatReamer
Thistoolisusedtoremoverustbuildup,scaleand/ordebrisfrom
theAccessFittingbodyseat.TheAccessFittingbodyseatisleftwith
a smooth surface for proper sealing/seating of the plug assembly.
TheReamerisusedwiththeRetrieverandServiceValve.Itattaches
tothepilotoftheRetriever.TheReamerthenextendsthroughthe
ServiceValveandintotheAccessFitting.Usingtherotationhandle
oftheRetriever,theReameriscontinuouslyrotateduntilasmooth
surfaceisachieved.

4.ThreadTapAssembly
TheThreadTapAssemblyisusedtocleandebrisfromthreadsorto
repair thread damage on the internal threading of the Access

Fitting body. The Thread Tap Assembly is used with the Retriever

and Service Valve. It attaches to the pilot of the Retriever. Using

the rotation handle of the Retriever, the Thread Tap Assembly is

threaded into the Access Fitting body until all threads have been

cleanedandanyirregularitiesremoved.

5.ThreadDieAssembly

The Thread Die Assembly is used to clean debris and/or repair

damagedthreadsontheSolid/HollowPlugbody.TheSolid/Hollow
PlugbodyissimplythreadedintotheThreadDieAssemblyuntilall
threadshavebeencleanedandanyirregularitiesremoved.

6.PullWrenchAssembly

The Pull Wrench Assembly is used to clean debris from the

threads on the OD of the Access Fitting Assembly. With the
Solid/HollowPlugleftinplace,thePullWrenchAssemblyismounted
onto the Access Fitting Assembly and turned several times
continuously until all threads have been cleaned and any debris
removed.
