Introduction
The purpose of this training programme is to
provide sufficient theoretical understanding for
safe and efficient operation of AIS. An overview
of the AIS system architecture, basic technical
principles and important operational aspects are
given. Focus is aimed at safe and efficient
operation, system limitations and possible
operational problems.
