I am pleased to offer this letter of recommendation in support of Jaymi Roth.

Jaymi was a practicum student in my Grade 7, 8 and 9 Language Arts classroom during the 20132014 school year. During her time at Parkside School, Jaymi developed excellent rapport with
students and staff.

Jaymi exceeded the expectations of her EDTS 234 practicum placement. In addition to working in
the classroom, in a small group setting and one on one with students, Jaymi prepared and
delivered a three part lesson to two Grade 7 Language Arts classes. The lessons that Jaymi
worked on with students were well thought out and organized, allowing students to work
collaboratively to display their learning and understanding of content material. Students were
engaged and worked efficiently as a result of Jaymis thorough planning and delivery.

Throughout the three months that Jaymi spent in my classroom, she was consistently
professional, punctual, and eager to create a positive learning environment for students. Jaymi is
enthusiastic about teaching and was regularly initiating conversations that would help her learn
and grow as an educator. Jaymi demonstrated reflection in regards to pedagogy, specifically in
the context of a busy Junior High classroom.

Jaymi is a responsible and dedicated teacher and would be an asset to any classroom. If you
