W. Kem Road, Dorsey said.
While traveling eastbound,
he crossed the intersection at
Lincolnshire Boulevard and
Kem Road. Pauley said he
took his eyes off the roadway
briefly to turn up the heat and
then heard a thud. He noticed
movement across the front
of his vehicle and immediately stopped. He realized he
struck a person and immediately called 911.
Dorsey said Pauley was
emotional about the situa-

tion.
He said that his windows
were not fogged or iced over
and he was traveling about 30
mph, he said. It was dark
outside and he didnt see anyone on the road prior to the
accident. He was emotional
and upset about what had
happened.
Pauley was taken to Marion
General Hospital to have a
blood sample taken. Dorsey
said there was nothing found
in his system and there were
no signs of impairment or the
smell of an alcoholic beverage.

Courtney Delks feels like

she is in the profession that
perfectly suits her.
The 2010 Indiana Miss
Basketball and Oak Hill
High School graduate had
tried coaching at the collegiate level at both Indiana
Wesleyan University and
Indiana University-Purdue
University
Indianapolis.
Delks, however, has decided
to get out of the coaching
ranks and now is giving pri-

clinics for youth of all ages.
Things have really been
going well, Delks said.
Delks said there are a couple of different aspects that
have drawn her to being in
the position she is now. For
one, she always has had a
passion of helping youth
both boys and girls improve their skills on the basketball court. But more importantly than that, she has
always had a passion to help
those young players grow as
