State Police to Make Statement on Howard Timothy Cofflin Jr. Arrest

York, PA Pennsylvania State Police will make a statement tomorrow at 11:30 a.m., at the
Pennsylvania State Police York Barracks regarding the arrest of Howard Timothy Cofflin Jr.
Cofflin will be charged on January 6th, 2015 for Criminal Attempt/Murder of the First Degree,
Criminal Attempt/Murder of a Law Enforcement Officer of the First Degree, Terrorism, Threat to
Use Weapons of Mass Destruction, Aggravated Assault and Terroristic Threats. These charges
stem from statements made from Cofflin regarding his desire to kill his ex-girlfriend,
Pennsylvania State Troopers, and County Judges; as well as his actions of buying parts to
fabricate an AR-15, supplies to build improvised explosive devices, purchases of body armor
and ammunition.
