Reading
& Writing

This month we will work on using evidence

based terms when writing reading
responses. Our genre focus will be fables
and folktales. We will discuss theme and
morals of a tale.

1/5 classes resume

1/7 Monday switch day
1/12 Progress reports go home

Math
We are beginning module 3 which
focuses on multiplication and
division.
-Some of the upcoming topics are:
-Review of number bonds,
commutative property, and
distributive property.
- Use parentheses to solve
problems.

Social Studies
We will begin our government unit. Students
will learn about the 3 Branches of
Government. They will also study various
memorials and monuments. We will end the
unit researching presidents. A fun presidential
biography project will be assigned at the end
of the unit.
