Step 1: the things you will need

the things needed can all be found at house.the things you will need are:
1)plastic or glass jar or cup that are transparent.(must be transparent)
2) aluminium foil small piece is enough.
3)1 paper clip.
4)cardboard piece small one.
5)a scissor
6)insulative tape or any tape
7)pencil(optional)

2. Feed the wire through the hole in the rubber stopper.

3.Bend a couple of closely spaced "U" bends or loops in the end of the wire that you put
through the hole. Needle nose pliers would be useful

4.Twist or twirl the other end of the wire to make a stop to keep the wire from falling
through.

5. Carefully hook the staples over the "U" bends or loops so that they hang freely. The
staples need to be able to swing freely on the wire- they are draped over the wire, not crimped
on.
6. Carefully lower the whole thing (stopper, wire, and staples) into the glass flask.
7. When a charged object (such as a balloon you rubbed on your hair) is brought near to
the exposed end of the wire, the staples will swing away from each other
