Silverton Snowscape Art Contest and Show

The Third Annual Silverton Snowscape Art Contest

requests submissions of art from young people aged 5 to
17 (if 18 must be in high school or equivalent).
Submissions should be suitable for hanging on a wall.
Photographs, paintings, drawings, and collages are all
acceptable. Non-two-dimensional entries (sculptures,
dioramas, etc.) must be cleared with the contest
coordinator. The theme for the artwork is "Faces of
Silverton." This may include not only portraits of people
but also of animals, mountain faces, the faces of buildings,
etc.
All submissions will also compete for the 2016 Silverton
Snowscape Art Contest People's Choice Award, which also
has a cash prize. From February 3-7, the work will be
displayed at the Blue Raven Gallery on Greene Street,
where everyone can vote for their favorite piece.
If they wish, contestants may price their pieces to be sold.
The winners' artwork will be shown at Kendall Mountain
Recreation Area for the months of February and March of
2016. The contest will be judged by local artists. First,
Second and Third Place Winners and three Honorable
Mentions will receive cash prizes.
Deadline for submissions is Tuesday, February 2, 2016
(midnight), and winners will be announced on Sunday,
February 7, 2015, at 2 p.m. at the Blue Raven Art
Gallery.

Please attach the registration form to your entry and deliver your submission
to the box in the Silverton School office, the Blue Raven Gallery (Fridays and
Saturdays 1:00-4:00 p.m) or1725 Cement Street. There is a box on the table
in the mudroom for that purpose.

Winners announced: Sunday, February 7, 2016 at 2 p.m
