History: Large hyperechoeic solid nodule in right lobe of thyroid gland.
Gross: Received 8 unstained slides in a packing labeled with patient's name and medical record number, all of
them stained and examined.
Micro: Smears reveal colloid, few groups of follicular cells.
Diagnosis: THYROID, RIGHT LOBE, OUTSIDE FNA SLIDES:
Colloid nodule.
Bethesda category II.
