CLASS : III
OBJECTIVES :
By the end of the class, pupils will be able to:

elicit names of animals,colors, greetings, numbers 1-20

spell the words using the alphabet letters correctly and introduce themselves

identify family members and introduce them.

MATERIALS :
Pupils' book, workbook , interactive white board software Genki English
STRUCTURE: CLUSTER
ORGANIZATION
First off, pupils welcome the guests and bow as they greet them. The teacher greets the pupils as
well and then she tells them to close their books.
The teacher asks pupils to come to the board in turns and asks them to introduce themselves.
She asks questions such as What's your name?; How old are you?; Where are you from?; What's
your mom's/ dad's/ sister's/ brother's name? Whom do you love the most? Etc
Pupils come to the board in turns and introduce themselves.
The teacher writes on the board :

Animals

and then pupils are encouraged to come in turns to the board and write as many animals' names
as they can. Then pupils, in turns, stand up and spell the names of the animals.

The teacher does the same about the words: colors and numbers. The pupils come to the board and
write in a cluster the words related to colors and numbers, as follows:

Then pupils mention greetings and family members. After that they're asked to introduce their family.
The teacher opens Genki English software and pupils revise the commands. The teacher writes the word
COMMANDS and asks pupils to add as many commands as they have learned up to now.
Pupils play the game about the commands after revising them using Genki english on the interactive
white board. They do then the activity time exercises orally. Then pupils are divided in groups and they
sing the song Disco warm up related to commands and the imperative. They play the game in turns, and
the teacher takes notes of the points the groups win.
The teacher encourages students not to give up, but to try harder, and thanks them for their cooperation.
Homework: workbook and exercise 5 of the activity time.
