Background: You are an agent at the Pioneer Travel Agency. It is your job to send
clients on fabulous vacations to far off places. Your boss has given you a new
assignment, to create a new travel brochure that will entice clients to go to
________________________.
Directions: Below are the 5 Themes of Geography. Following each theme is a set of
instructions for information that must be in your brochure.
1. Location: Be sure to identify your location by name on the cover of the brochure
(include the country it is in and the continent it is on). Identify the absolute location in
terms of longitude and latitude. Identify the relative direction you would have to travel to
get to your location from Dreher High School.
2. Place: What physical features are in your location. What natural resources are in
your location?
Create a collage of 4 pictures to show your client what your location looks like.
3. Human-Environment Interaction: What is the climate and what would a traveler
need to bring with them. How do humans adapt to your locations climate. How do
citizens take advantage of the natural resources?
4. Movement: How will they get therecar, boat, train, or plane??? How long will the
journey take?
5. Region: If your clients wanted to take a day trip, what other tourist destinations
neighbor your location?
