    Engineers

    Our city needs your help! Due to our growing


    population of individuals from various regions
    and the abundant usage of landforms and
    natural resources, our city is in great need of
    a makeover! Before you begin, you will need
    identify what problems affect our community,
    brainstorm ways to conserve natural
    resources, and design a city that showcases
    solutions for the future of our city.

    By exploring and comparing various regions, how


    can students design Duncanvilles Eco-friendly
    future city that will help community members
    conserve natural resources?

    Project Requirements:

    Based on what you know about the effects of building new homes
    and pollution has had on your city's landscape, you will create an
    eco-friendly future city of Duncanville.
    Your model city must include:
    1. Landform(s) most appropriate for the area (Science 3.7C)

    2. Natural resources available in the region and explain how they are useful
    (Science 3.7D)

    3. Ways to conserve your natural resources (Science 3.7D)

    4. Based on your knowledge of human characteristics of various regions, construct


    buildings and/or homes that reflect your community, and show how people modify
    or adapt their environment. (SS 3.4B, SS 3.4E)
    5. An imaginative narrative about a character living in your futuristic city. (ELAR
    3.18A)

    6. An annotated bibliography citing any sources you used in research or
