The student thanked the librarian for allowing her to shadow her and learn about her job as a librarian at the local community school. She observed the librarian working with students and enjoying her job, which made the student consider becoming a librarian. Through the experience, the student realized librarians need patience for working with students all day and do more than just sorting books. The shadowing experience helped the student as she decides on a career path.

Mrs. Cathy Zinker
Bellevue Community Schools 904 West Capital Ave Bellevue, MI 49021 Dear Mrs. Zinker: Thank you for allowing me to job shadow you. It was a great experience to learn how to work in a library, and to see all of the kids, and what they enjoy reading. You seem to really enjoy your job, and you made me consider it as a career option. I realized a lot of things about being a librarian/EMTC that I hadn't before. You have to have a lot of patience to be able to work with students all day. Also, how many other things go into being a librarian/EMTC than just sorting books. I definitely have some decisions to make regarding what career I want to pursue. I am grateful to have had the experience to explore your career as an option. Sincerely, Kalie Rolfe
