Re: Views in the matter of accidental spill
In my opinion, We should not take our hands out from this matter. First,
this is not an ethical way if we have done some mistake we should be
strong enough to accept it. Second, those employee who are responsible
for this should be punished by throwing a fine and a short suspension of
them just to teach them a lesson. If we dont punish them and make the
whole matter just to pass, next time workers may be careless in handling
of that toxic material again.
In the response to the matter of cleanup cost, I suggest that we should
take contribution but should not pay the fine completely because our
competitors must have their contribution in the cleanup cost also. We
should pay for what we had done wrong. For the matter of our image, We
should introduce a formal apology statement and tell the action taken by
us in this matter. These actions should be helpful.
