1. getting cat out of bag and emptying juices into brown bin
2. opening the abdominal cavity
3. making a midsagittal cut through abdominal muscle wall
4. making a transverse cut below the diaphragm and above the lower limbs
5. pulling muscle wall back and taking image
6. removing the apron of fat and connective tissue covering the organs
7. fat tissue is hard to cut- a lot of adipose tissue in between lower limbs
8. taking picture of internal organs
9. following esophagus to oropharynx and taking a picture
10. finding the rectum
11. following it to the anus
12. taking a picture of the rectum
13. fecal matter is in the rectum
14. finding diaphragm
15. taking a picture of the diaphragm
16. cutting the diaphragm from the walls of the cavity
17. removing the alimentary canal- cutting vessels and fat connecting it to the posterior wall
of the cats body
18. removing alimentary canal from kidneys and taking it out of the cats body
19. identifying the liver with gallbladder, the pancreas, and the spleen
20. finding and separating the liver - with gallbladder attached
21. finding and separating the spleen (darkest organ)
22. finding and separating the pancreas- next to the stomach and jejunum

3. cutting out excess fat around small intestines
4. taking a picture of stretched out alimentary canal
5. measuring canal with ruler (cm)
6. recording and taking image of measurement
7. cutting open stomach
8. taking specimen and putting it on the petri dish
9. taking a picture of the inside of the stomach wall
10. removing small non-curved section from the small intestine
11. cleaning it of any chyme under water
12. observing internal structure using dissecting scope
13. taking a picture of the internal structure of the small intestine
14. looking at the stomach under the microscope
15. observing the rugae and folds of the stomach
16. disposing of the alimentary canal
17. taking cat out of bag
18. locating 2 kidneys, ureters, the urinary bladder, and the urethra
19. removing kidneys
20. looking at them under the microscope
21. putting cat back in bag and cleaning up lab station
