out a 2-2 draw today.

The 1pm kick o caused problems as

Kellyville dragged together a team right up
to the start. Thanks Vic for stepping into
goals (Nolan was thankfully early for the
3pm kick o, so only missed most of the
first half!).
Kellyville started with 10 players, with
Doriano and Harry on the way. When
Doriano came on after 10, the Toonie
players did ask if we only had 10 players so
not a bad start.
Unfortunately, the first goal of the
match, 15 minutes in, was scored by Toonie
as they took advantage of a defensive
error. The finish was neatly placed inside
the far post from the edge of the area.
The remainder of the first half saw
Kellyville dominate possession, making
some half chances. Vlad was dominant - it
was like Viduka had been slotted in up
front! He was holding ball played into feet,
chest....pretty much anywhere.
The second half was wave after wave of
Kellyville attack. Nice football at feet,
switching around the area and plenty of
crosses in.
The equaliser for Kellyville was after
constant pressure for 20-25 minutes
camped around the Toonie box. Neat
footwork from Doriano to Jaimie saw him

The second for the Kolts came 10

minutes later. A stolen ball in midfield and
Jaime put a defence breaking pass through
for the overlapping Trevor. A touch around
the keeper and a right foot finish put
Kellyville ahead with 10 minutes
remaining.
The danger time after a goal caught
the Kolts out.... a break from Toonie saw
them commit a few more forward. 4-5
passes (that could have seen a touch from a
few Kolts to clear) came o for Toonie.
They slotted nicely again when presented
with a chance. 2-2
A couple of frantic minutes to try and
score the winner but it ended this way.
Vlad was voted the man of the match
by a nose over Jaime.
