Kellyville today beat Castle Hill Whites 6-1 to

consolidate their place at the top of the table.
With the lessons of early season mistakes taking eect,
the boys arrived early with plenty of time to get stripped and
have a good warm up. Adam had arrived before lunch and
was into his third warm up when everybody walked in.....just
a tad fired up for a big one! With the warm ups becoming
more complicated it really took concentration to stick with
the team...and stay on your feet! Passing in a triangle and
running gave the sniper a chance - the Bunny being his first
victim!
A sharp start from the Kolts, saw them capitalise on
Castle Hill playing the first 20 with 10 men. The first goal
came from one/two touch simple passing with movement
from everyone - Castle Hill could not contain the movement
and when Doz volleys from the edge of the area its only ever
gonna be one result.
The second saw Harry strike from 30 yards. A sweetly
struck dipping shot that gave the keeper absolutely no
chance.
The third was a pinpoint pass from Adam after he saw
Trev making the little angled run to get in behind the
defence. The finish a curling right footer from just inside the
box.

Noons and Dame playing centre backs and Harry in the

back of midfield. Their talk and calm football set the
standard. Bunny and Stoney brilliantly working in both
defence and attack from the wide back postings.
Vlad did manage to make one of his quickest runs of the
season whilst in goals. A back pass missed his feet and was
headed towards the back post. As everybody grabbed a drink
and had a mid game chat - Vlad took o after it.... he really
does need to oil the joints though as the Tinman runs more
smoothly than him!
The controversial 4th goal was an indirect free kick
awarded in the box for a slide tackle. It was debatable
whether it was a foul or not. Vic chipped to the back post
looking for Dame. The ball flew straight in with the Kolts
claiming a touch from the defenders head standing on that
post. The goal was awarded even though the touch was
debatable. The debate now is whether or not, as this was an
indirect free kick, whether or not its Vics goal or an own
goal...survey to decide - click here http://www.surveymonkey.com/s/GK8WRBC
Doriano scored shortly after, when he beat 4 or 5
Maradona style. He then finished with power and
placement from the edge of the area.

Castle Hills 10 men turned to 11 after 2o minutes. A long

ball over the top caught the Kolts out, unfortunately
conceding. A half with 35 minutes in the Kolts favour and a
harsh lesson learned by everybody dropping o for just a few
minutes..

The sixth was late in the game, when Stoney made yet
another run overlapping from left back....second game and
still running in the final minutes. He ran away from
defenders as he cut in towards goal. He then managed to do
what many others struggle with - he set up Trev for a goal
(another with his right foot!)

One of the most ridiculous oside calls of all time to

finish the half - Harry running onto a square ball from 10 -15
yards behind the play was called oside.

Our three mid season signings were brilliant today.

Bunny at right back, Stoney at left and Adam in the centre of
midfield.

The second half Kellyville created chance after chance

by working in groups of 4/5/6 players moving at a time...
sometimes more. Naya and Trev out wide, Vic and Doz up
front and Ad in behind - no team can match this movement
and available options. The shape was set and controlled by

Thanks Vlad for stepping into goals.

Our italian being loaned back to Juventus for a month
will keep him fresh to arrive back for the finals - have a good
trip back to the boot Doz.
