Anesthesiologist

Description
Anesthesiologists are the physicians trained to administer and manage anesthesia
given during a surgical procedure. They are also responsible for managing and
treating changes in your critical life function; breathing, heart rate, and blood
pressure as they are affected by surgeory being performed.
Education and Training Requirements
After completing a four year bachelors degree, students are required to take four
years of graduate education leading to a degree in medicine (M.D) or osteopathy.
After recieving a medical degree, students should complete four more years in an
anesthesiology residency.
Salary
An anesthesiologist is paid an average of USD$300,000.00 (JMD$35,400,00)
yearly.

Jobs are always available for the employment rate for anesthesiologists are low and
so they are in demand.

They work in Hospitals, private physician offices, dental clinics, surgical centres,
labor and delivery units and critical and intensive care units.

This occupation intrests me beacuse of the fact that barely anyone is
involved and I want to be one of the few who are or even know about it and
want to make that change.

offers this course.
Subjects needed are as follows: Mathematics, English Language,
Chemistry, Biology, Physics, Biochemistry and/or Calculus.
The program lasts for 12 years.
