Recording in a DAW

Introduction
Hello i'm Santiago Collado from Cordoba in Argentina, today i'm going to talk about how to set up everything
to record in a DAW. I'm going to be using Pro Tools 10 but feel free of use any DAW you might have...

Step 1:
First we create the project

We select an uncompressed tipe of file so we don't have loss of data, which i'm going to use .WAV. The sample
rate we set it to 48Khz and bit depth 24 and we choose interleaved tipe so we have both left and right in the
same file.

Step 2

We make sure of gave a name to the project to be easily located.

Step 3

We create the track, mostly if you are recording a instrument like a guitar or bass with a pickup,it's going to be
mono.

Step 4

We make sure that the counter is set on.

We click on the record button and in some DAW then click in "Play" like in mine.

Conclussion
I find this topic very useful 'cause is the thing you most are going to use no? So i find it very necesary to have in
clear.
